Hi there! My name is Nieves, a proud Galician born 29 years ago in a small and beautiful village named Tomiño. I grew up around my parents restaurant, watching my mum cooking. I suppose from that comes my passion for food and for cooking.
Besides I studied journalism, when I came to London in 2010, I realized that my dream it was to set a business related to food. That is why in 2012, my sister and me founded Embutique Ltd, a company created to import and bring Street Spanish Food to London following mum”s recipes. Quality, traditional, home-made and fresh are the base of this project.
Thanks to help of many good friends and, mainly, my sister, who has been and is the biggest support, now I run a market stall in one of the oldest markets in London, Leather Lane Market, place between Chancery Lane and Farringdon Station and I also import cold meat from Galicia. The star is our Chorizo, produced by a small family running business, that we wholesale in the UK.
In terms of image, we created “the chorizo hipster”, which blends traditional Spanish food with a twist of London hipster style. This is all reflected in our branding, packaging, logo..
